This article is a fraction of research done on the interrelationship between the Markets and their Lands. The ‘Slope of Land’, the topic which is treated vividly in the Vastu Shahstra is the premise of this article. How Slope of Land in different directions impacts the business activities is the subject matter of this article. Instead of representing the whole description of results, it is a partial presentation of research done on directions and slope of land and the outcome is based on empirical analysis via studying the facts, doing field work vis-à-vis Vastu Shahstra. It is infeasible to present here all the results of research of all the cities. The territory of research is cities and villages of India and abroad.

After many years of research work the market slopes in different directions and inter-directions could be defined as per rules of Vastu Shahstra. In this present writing the

Research carried on many bazars of cities and villages are being presented in two categories.

  1. Type one – markets of Chemicals Oils, Ghee, Medicines, etc. which develop on the land with towards South known as Chara-vastu.
  2. Type two – Markets of all types of articles which develop on the land having towards East,North, North-East, West and North-West, which are known as GovÏthÏ, GajavÏthÏ,DhanavÏthÏ and Pitamaha Vastu.
